We need our government leaders to lead and remove zoning ordinance barriers that presently block housing like this. In Rock Hill, the 850 SqFt minimum and other requirements make any new house cost over $100,000, well beyond the reach of anyone making less that $20/hr. While these ordinances may have been well intended, they unnecessarily block and restrict truly affordable housing from being made available in our community.
